Champion Sport Seat Fact Sheet 

 

1.  Type

The Champion Sport Seat can be bolted onto cement risers or bleacher planks.

2.  Seat and back

The polypropylene back gives malleable flexibility which increases seating comfort.  Seat is formed to fit the contour of the body when in the sitting position.   All edges of the seat are finished with a radius.  A pebble grain is available for a smooth finish.  Seat back widths are 18” or 17".  Seat height is 21”.  The back is built with solid injection molded polypropylene with maximum UV inhibitors.   See following chart for properties of polypropylene.   Six standard colors are available, royal blue, red, green, yellow, black and purple.  Custom colors are also available in a quantity over 500. 

3.  Fixed Seat Pan

The seat pan is fixed and is available in 18" or 17"   (457mm, 432,mm) widths.  Seat pan depth is 17" or 12" inches (457 mm, 305 mm).  Rear edge of the seat conforms to the curvature of the back, giving the spectator long time support.  The waterfall at the front of the seat pan reduces pressure points.   The seat pan is bolted to top of the bleacher plank with 4 (⅜") carriage bolts, two in front, two on top.  Seats are attached to cement risers by means of 2 or 4 approved lead shield   ¼" expansion bolts not less than 3" long.

4. Support Brace  

Support brace is "solid no break polypropylene"  that is corrosion and chemical resistant..  Back brace dimensions are 14" long,   2 ½" wide,   1" deep.  The seat pan brace dimensions are 14" long,   4" wide and 3" deep.  The seat pan support brace is designed to accept the seat back brace providing flex at joint for strong support.  Seat components form a structural unit.   See chart for properties of no break polypropylene. 

5.  Plastic Components:

High density injection molded plastic shall be one-piece, high impact, linear polyethylene with built-in ultra-violet light inhibitors to retard fading, and anti-static compounds to retard dirt attraction.  Solid polypropylene is stronger (no break, no tear) and more resistant to fading than hollow polyethylene blow molded plastic used by other manufacturers.

 Plastic has impact resistant automotive grade application.

6. Hardware: 

Automotive grade cadmium plated or stainless steel fasteners with acorn nut chrome plated nuts.
