Warranty
Manufacturers demonstrate their confidence in their own products by the length of warranty they are willing to offer. For example, our Liberty theater chairs come with a long five-year warranty.
Fabrics
The upholstery on theater seating has to survive a great deal of use and misuse. Higher quality fabrics, like some of our polyolefins, for example, will be more stain resistant. They will also be easier to wipe down, thus saving on cleaning costs over time.
Plastics
Theater seats themselves are often made of molded plastic. Molded contours that are truly ergonomic will make for much more satisfied patrons. Some of our best commercial seating is made of the same high-impact plastics that the car industry uses.
Metal Components
The metal standards upon which those seats are mounted are of vital importance. If they bend or loosen when ticket holders lean or fall onto them, repair costs can quickly rise. Steel standards need to be fabricated from appropriate heavy gauge steel. Welds need to both strong and consistent. That is why we feature robotic mig-welded chair standards for the best results.
Powder Coat or Paint
The best seats will have metal surfaces powder coated inside and out. Paint just can’t compete. After polyester powder coating is oven baked at 200 degrees C, it is super-tough. By contras, cheap theater seating that is merely painted will accumulate scratches and even rust in those areas. The look of your facility will degrade, and you’ll face pricey repainting.
Pre-Owned Seating
One great way to acquire genuinely cheap theater seating is to look over our selection of pre-owned seating. In an age when some movie theaters are closing rather than converting to digital projectors, we come across used chairs on a frequent basis. Also, numerous cinemas are converting to stadium seats and even dinner-style seating. This has generated even more in the way of used seats. Our experience suggests that these theater seats are often in “like new” condition. Even when there is wear on some chairs, our craftsmen can do top-notch refurbishing and repair.
The benefit in pursuing used seating is of course price. Our customers that invest in pre-owned often save 30 to 40-percent.
Portable Seating
Another way to maximize savings and revenue is through our unique portable seating. These movable chairs can supplement your permanent chairs. Add seats that are still beautifully upholstered when the use of your venue calls for it. When space requirements need to be maximized for a different use of the facility, the portable seats can simply be moved aside. On an annualized basis, such seats can improve the bottom line.
