New Theater Seats
Our twenty years as specialists in the commercial seating business have taught us which seats last, and why. Also, we’ve learned which chairs maintain their appearance over time. A structurally sound seat that nonetheless looks worn after just a couple of seasons is not the answer either.
Whether you are looking at fixed chairs, rockers, or portable seating there are some things that set the quality seating apart:
Quality of the standards — The standards upon which the seats rest are crucial to long-term durability. If a weld breaks or something bends, a time-consuming, often expensive repair is often involved. Therefore, consider either cast iron or heavier gauge steel standards that are robotically welded. In addition to super-durable cast iron, we offer theater seats for sale that are constructed of 14 gauge steel. The components are robotically mig-welded for absolute consistency in the strength of the welds.
Moving mechanisms — We feature seat lifts that are designed to survive years of intense use. For example, one design features twin, hardened steel shafts riding on zero-maintenance bearings. If you’ve ever endured squeaky seat lifts or those that have been bent or broken, you’ll understand the importance of quality lifts. Likewise, rocker mechanisms need to be quiet and reliable for years and years. Our Grandview, Florencia, and Concorde lines, for example, feature dual rubber pads that eliminate hard surfaces coming into contact with each other to create noise.
High-impact plastics — Seat backs and seat bottoms that are made of the highest quality plastics can offer virtually maintenance-free service. We often call them “automotive-grade” plastics for a reason; they are the very plastics that the auto industry selects to withstand heat, cold, vibration, and intense use. Our Liberty seats, for example, feature double-walled, blow-molded plastic that is rated to 80,000 psi.
Quality Fabrics — An investment in quality upholstery now can ensure that the vibrancy of your theater remains for the long-term. For example, the Marquesa lana polyolefin available on our Concorde and Florencia rockers is supremely stain and spill resistant. It can also withstand encounters with hard objects that threaten to tear or otherwise mar the seat.
Pre-Owned Theater Chairs
With all of the conversions to stadium and dinner seating in theaters across the nation, we have stocks of fine quality pre-owned seating to offer as well. Many of these chairs are top quality, and they are often in “like new” condition. If we have a suitable group of used seats for your venue, the savings can be substantial — often up to 30-40 percent.
Refurbished Theater Seating
Those responsible for renovating existing venues have the option of having our craftsmen come out and refurbish the existing chairs. If they are seats with good quality framing underneath, we can strip and refinish wood and metal surfaces, and we can reupholster the seats.
